Payment for First Lesson

A students' payment for their first lesson is due 24 hours before the start of their first lesson.  If payment is not received at least 24 hours before the start of the first lesson, Sebastian's Orange County Piano Studio (abbreviated as SOCPS for the remainder of this Policy) is not required to hold that lesson, nor be present for the lesson, nor be obligated to make up the lesson at a later date or time.

Payment for Continuing Lessons

Lessons are pre-paid before the beginning of the first lesson of each calendar month, for all lessons during that month.  Payment for all lessons that month are due at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the first lesson for that month.  If payment for all the lessons for that calendar month is not received at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of the first lesson for the month, SOCPS is not responsible for giving any of the scheduled lessons for that month, nor be present for any of the scheduled lessons of that month, nor be obligated to make up any of the aforeplanned lessons at a later time or date.

Late Arrivals

If a student anticipates being late for a lesson, the student must inform SOCPS by call, voice message, text message, or email, before the scheduled start of the lesson.  All lessons will end at their scheduled ending time, and the student will be charged the full rate for that lesson.

No-Shows

Students who forget or consciously choose to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.”  If a student is more than 15 minutes late, and has not called, left a voice message, texted, or emailed to let us know, the lesson will be counted as a no-show.

In the circumstance of no-shows, SOCPS will not be present for more than 15 minutes beyond the scheduled start of the lesson.

Students are responsible for the full payment of a lesson that they no-show for.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

If a student needs to reschedule or cancel a lesson, a call or a message in the form of a phone call, text, or email, must be received by SOCPS no later than 24 hours before the beginning of the scheduled lesson.  Failure to inform of a cancellation of a lesson or lessons more than 24 hours before the start of the lesson in question, even if the lesson or lessons do not occur as a result, will result in the student being charged for that scheduled lesson time.

Multiple Cancellations

Students who have had two cancellations with less than 24 hour notice within a one-year time period will be required to pay a non-refundable retainer upon booking for the full amount for any future appointments to remain on the schedule.

Thank you!
